Is it possible to move the doors manually to get air to the windsheild without removing the heater housing. I found two actuators but not the one for windsheild output. Where is it? Can I reach it without removing the heater housing?

You can't get it to switch to defrost?

The far left actuator removed and it seems to control only vents / floor. There is a second actuator in the center front (just behind ligther / 12 volts supply) that I'm not sure what it's for. The engine is cold I cannot test to see if it's for temp or recycle. There must be an other actuator for the defrost that I cannot find. Where is it? Can I reach it without removing the housing or dash?

I could also try to apply current to the connector of the contol unit but i'm missing information on voltage and polarity to apply to what wires. The control unit may be the problem but it's kind of expensive to test a new one. No used one is available around my place.

Got it.
Using a thick coat hangner trough the windsheild vent grill I was able to push the door open. Once opened I locked the pivot on the left side of the housing.
