Figured i'd share the new but slow build in the truck. I'm putting in two 10" Xcons under the rear seat. It's going to be 3.7 cu.ft. after displacements tuned to 33hz with flared opening and fiberglass top that both will be painted black, blue, and grey marble.

The Xcon is rated at 1750rms. I'll be using a Sundown SAX-1200 temporarily till i upgrade my electrical. I did put them in a temporary prefab box that sucks but it's better than nothing. They don't sound too bad for a prefab.

UPS almost sewered my new gear. A few fractions of an inch and it would've had to go back

The only reason i used 1/2" mdf was because that's what was around my shop. I'll glass the inside so it's stronger.

The Xcons are the cleanest sounding subs i've ever heard. The price to performance is amazing. A VERY good price for what you get. Definitely my favorite subwoofer aside from the little brother, the Icon.

I've done some more work than the pictures show. The port is almost complete and the braces for one baffle are up. I'll update some more along the way. It's going to be a VERY slow process though. I can only work on the enclosure for a few minutes at a time in between breaks from other projects

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest in this but i guess i'll post a couple more pics anyway for ****s and giggles.

The box is actually pretty big considering space requirements. I don't have it written down in front of me at the moment but I believe it is 5.8 cubes before displacements. The port is 5x12".

I took the gasket off already and checked out the basket. It was dented a little bit but not bad. Im not worried about it. It's a $6 gasket and I'm covering it up anyway since it'll be flush mounted

Amazing work man, it looks incredible. I Miss the room under the seat of my 2000 silverado. Right now I've had to settle for .6 cu ft per sub right now. Did you use your floor as the bottom of the box and fiberglass on top of that? I knew a guy that had a very similar approach, but would actually use like 4 layers of sound deaden-er. Might not be as ridgid as fiberglass though.

Thanks, I appreciate it. The bottom was actually made in my ex's truck so it doesn't fit perfect but it's damn close. I would think if the bottom was deadener it'd leak easily. Rigidity is pretty important in an enclosure. Any flex or if the box or leaks will result in loss of db's and sq.

.6 cubes? I'm guessing you're referring to the 09? Is it a single cab? That doesn't give very many options for a substage. That'd be pretty discouraging.
