While taking the factory leather covers off my seats I accidentally tore off one of the Velcro strips in the cushion valleys. What should I use to re glue it before I put the new Katzkins on? Contact cement? Spray glue?

I no see......I see now :aniteef:
Not really sure what the velcro came off of so I didn't want to say.
Off the cushion part? gorrilla glue? :dunno:

Not much building going on in that thread, on account of it being cold, plus the whole amp step post office thing kind of took the fun out of it. But I figure that I should work with what I have for now, so yesterday I started messing with the seats.
Yeah, it came off the cushion foam. At lunch I will go take a pic.

I tried some liquid nails tonight. Seems to hold pretty well so far. Going to give it another day before putting the new covers on.

It's kind of a crap shoot once they are tore off on what will work the best. I've done a lot with landau cement, the same stuff I use to do foam repairs etc...but I'm pretty sure anything that can take a decent tug will hold the seam. there's not much for tension pulling up...most of it is your rear pushing it down anyway. If for some reason it lets loose...You could run thread/twine/kite string up through the foam and tie them on and just tie a not on the bottom side around a dowel or something that will keep it from pulling through the foam.
