I have a 94 k1500. My front passenger side speaker doesnt work. I replaced my head unit with an alpine . It had a pioneer before. I wired it up and was left with 3 wires off the head unit. I have two running to the speaker with a splicer on each wire. When I hook it up Im always left with one wire. And it wont work with the truck turned on only with the key turned back. What could this be?

Was the Pioneer hooked up with a wiring harness attached to the factory harness? Or was it all spliced in? Did all speakers work with the Pioneer?

check at the speaker to see if there is power at the wires.. alot of head units will have a dimmer wire and a power antenna wire that dont generally get used. if you have the wiring kit ( that plugs into the GM harness ) its really hard to mess up as you put all the same color coded wires together.

I have every wire going to the wiring harness from the head unit except for three because there arn't anymore wires to connect them to.
