My 95 Stepside is running a dual in dual out magnaflow and I am getting some wicked resonation at lower RPM's taking off. Would putting some tips with resonators in them make a difference or should I just look for a different muffler or what?

It it run out of each back corner tucked underneath the truck, but angled where it should push the exhaust out from under the truck - it is lowered so this may add a little noise. The current set-up is true dual out of the manifolds to a 2 in 2 out magnaflow. The PO (for some reason) went to 3" pipe a couple feet from the muffler all the way back. Would it make a difference if I used smaller pipe there. It also doesn't have CAT's.

I put on a set from borla on one time on my truck, with longtubes and slp loudmouth I's, it completly shut it up. It was so dang quiet it was like I put on a stock muffler, they didnt stay on long before I wanted to hear it rumble again. So the answer is yes, a quality set of resonated tips will reduce noise and rasp.

Yes they will help. I would not spend the money to change pipe size, just add some resonators.
