Hello everyone,

First post here, although i have been browsing this forum and all the great information that is on here. I will be starting a 383 build for my truck in the near future and figured I would introduce myself and hope to get some answers on the parts I have chosen. My truck is a 1997 GMC K1500 ECSB SLE truck with 180000km. Single owner truck and I have since taken over the ownership from my dad. This is not my daily driver and I would like to fix it up and have a nice truck to drive around town when I am back home from working out of province.

Seeing as I need 5 posts to post up links, hopefully I can find some places where my knowledge might be of help.

Wel i figure i could reply to my own post and get one more for the count. I am a pressure welder certified in MB and AB and work in the fort mcmurray oilsands. I have had my rig for 6 months now which is a 2007 chevy 2500 6.0.

Welcome to the site. What kind of shape is the body in? Post some photos when you get a chance.

I won't be back home till mid march. I will definitely post some before pictures. The body needs some work but I plan on changing the color of it after all the body work has been complete.

I've started a build thread and pictures will be posted to that thread whenever I can get some. I have put together a list of parts but haven't ordered anything as I would like some insight as to whether or not they will all complement each other.
