I just installed a Kenwood KDC-X395 CD Receiver today, and I'm completely new to electronics and car audio.
The receiver has a USB port from which you can play music files. I synced a bunch of songs to a PNY 4GB drive from windows media.
I can see all the folders for the Artists that I added. Most of the songs will play, but some artists show as "NO MUSIC."
Some of the songs were downloaded recently off Amazon MP3, or added from CDs.
I then deleted some songs and resynced them using my laptop. This might have allowed some more songs to play, but still not all that I resynced.
Any ideas as to what I have to do?
From searching the forum and google, it's steering me towards having to update the receiver's firmware. I'm not quite sure what this entails.
