gotta go custom on those trucks, on my old tahoe i had the muffler shop run dual 2-1/2" from the longtubes to a magnaflow dual 2.5" to single 3" Y

I have Hedman LT's with a custom built 2.5" y pipe right off the headers into a single 3" setup. the y runs right in front of the trans pan then off the passenger side straight back into the y

i got long tubes last year and didnt bother with going to a Y pipe. i got some pipe fabricated and am running true duals on my 93 C1500. comes out right in front of the rear tires

I'm still debateing the y-pipe versus two thunderbolt cats, one each right to the collector reducer, then immediatly into a H-Pipe with those two pipes coming in to a dual in spintech.

Why do they need the Y pipe? Is that just the pickups for the gas tank location? I have a suburban, looks to me like I could run one pipe down each side without trouble.

correct, i couldve run a pipe down each side on my tahoe because the gas tank was in the back...on the trucks, the gas tank is on the drivers side so u have to run single or dual on the pasenger side
