Alright guys i think im finally going to get back into audio. I havent had a system in 3 years and im itching for one again.
Im wanting a flip out with nav and/or a back up camera. I have 5% tint and sitting pretty high. Hooking up to the duck boat or anything in the dark for that matter is a pain.
I havent had a vehicle worth putting nice audio in since i sold my last obs so im out of the game.
I will either be doing
a) going 2 12's
B) 1 15 in a custom console.
So a recap. Decent flip out touchscreen with back up cam and nav.
Dont want to buy the best out just a happy medium.
I figure if i have the nav i can lose the garmin off the window.
Heres the truck it will be going in.

Flip-outs are pretty much on their way out, so I only know of two companies I would trust to buy from that even still make flip outs anymore, Pioneer and Kenwood. The problem is neither has nav built in, so you're going to have to buy the flip-out and then buy the add on nav.
Pioneer:
AVH-P6300BT (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-P6300BT)
Then you need the add on navigation piece
AVIC-U220 (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation/AVIC-U220)
Kenwood:
KVT-516 (http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/Mobile_Video_n_Navigation/Mobile_Video/KVT-516)
add on nav
KNA-G610 (http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/Mobile_Video_n_Navigation/Mobile_Video/KNA-G610)
Of the two, I would probably go with Kenwood (even though I'm a pioneer guy) because the Garmin nav from Kenwood is leaps and bounds better than Pioneer's and it is updated more often.
However, if you're going to build a custom console, why not integrate an opening for a double din radio? It will be cheaper to go ddin, plus they look alot better, imo.

I love pioneer headunits as well so i was hoping you would point me to one of them.
I wouldnt mind a double din but i like tge bigger screen of the flip out.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

One reason i didnt want a double din is that i wanted to retain my pocket. Ive looked at a few dpuble dins today and im not decided totally for it or against it. I would just hate to spend the money and find a double din i would havr liked better.
I found this model i liked. What do yall think?

If you are going to spend the $$ you should go with the Advent OGM1 double din.
It supports the factory XM, has front / rear / subwoofer RCA out, Rear-view camera ready with "Instant-On" technology, contains the new iGo Primo software…
I work for Invison Automotive and we are the OEM headrest supplier for GM.
We also sell the all of the Advent navigation systems and would be happy to address any questions / concerns you may have.
