I think I have have a stripped insert where one of the bolts go to connect the seat, is their any way I can fix this?:scared:

what l would do if seats not in way is drill out whats left of remaing threads just to clean it up and find a bolt for top and locknut and washer for bottom...washer will give it sppt if your in a accident...lots here do seat revamps and end up doing same thing to inner bolt holes,,,hada drill new inner holes for my seats...works fine and is easy quick fix....of course you could try to rethread damaged threads but chances are they may be to damaged and would not hold properly if in a accident....would go grade 8 bolt washer and lock nut route...basic premiss to keep it simple and functional

I took a cordless reciprocating saw to the pick-n-pull and cut the floor around the welded in nut/washer things for the 4 inner holes when I swapped my bench for a pair of buckets. I just cleaned off the sheet metal so it was just the washer. They're not welded in, just held by the pressured from the bolts but it is basically like it came from the factory. You could just do the same for the one you're missing.
