So i bought my truck brand new, 2005 chevy silverado...And just hit 80k miles, and my dumba*% just changed the plugs and wires which shoulda been done a long time ago(started misfiring). But i was wondering if anyone has any opinions on which kind of shocks to replace my stock ones that are prolly on its last limb, being i havent changed them in 80,000 miles? And opinions would help. Thanks.

If it is just a stock DD my buddies and I have always run Ranchos in our DD trucks and have always had great luck. Yes they are a touch expensive but I feel they ride nicer than most other shocks out there.

I waited until about 180K to replace my OEM shocks on my 2000 NBS Sierra :D

Went with the Monroe Reflex shocks, they are still in there with almost 250K on the clock now. Seems I'm still lazy :aniteef:

I have monroe reflex on my truck also and I love them. Put them on at about 160k and put over 40K miles (lots of rough driving, offroading, silver lake, ect) and they're still doing fine.
