Just started putting new front end back together on 89 rcsb.I installed McGaughy's 2" drop coils and 2" drop spindles. The problem is that when I let the lca down you can not turn spindle, it is hitting uca. I know it will not hit when I put wheels back on and put on ground. But is this normal with drop spindles? Or do I have a problem I need to fix now?

What size wheels? The control arms need to be trimmed to clear depending on the wheel size. I had a 91 years ago and had to do this for the 15" wheels.

My mistake,i trimmed the lca's.It's not the wheels are hitting. The truck is up on stands while I put the front end back together. The upper control arm is hitting the top of the spindle when I let the lca down off jack. You can not move it without picking up on lca a little. This is my first drop and I did not know if this was normal or not.

It's normal at full droop.
