First time as a member, feeling a little proud of myself for finally joining on. I have gained much knowledge reading many posts on questions I have had in the past. Finally was able to buy myself the truck I wanted and look forward to many enjoyable years with it. I have a list of mods I would like to perform and pretty much starting from the ground up. I know the knowledge on this sight far exceeds my own (since I am just beginning to learn and I am self teaching) so in saying that can't wait to learn and make this truck what it was meant to be.

well right of the bat i am adding an upgraded exhaust. would like to also swap out the stock intake tube, torsion keys to level the front end and wheels/tires, these are the only the beginning but kinda don't know where to start.

.....exhaust plans?

PLEASE not duals. For all that is holy in this world. Do a nice 3" 40 over the axle or something.

Hahaha, not doing duals, coming right of the y-pipe to a super 40 dumped at the rear axel

Welcome. If I was you I would replace ALL water hoses and stat and belt and antifreeze so you can know what you have those are the most important things so you won't over heat the engine then start on changing Trans fluid and so on wait on true duals and stuff like that get it to where you can get in it and trust it to go anywhere.

I have a 93 GMC with 182K I trust it to go anywhere it's 19 years old but I know what I have in it so I trust it.

Where in Illinois are you from? Most of the other Midwesterners congregate here:

It also seems that most of the Midwesterners are fans of the NBS 99-06 body styles so they are a great source for information.
