Qtrmeg,
I realize you posted awhile ago, however hopefully you revist this thread.
That is a good looking setup, but using the tow hooks to tie down the burb is not a great idea. More or less they do not withstand much other then a straight load. So having a chain pulling down is not a good thing.
Apparently you made it to where you were going fine, but in the future that is not a good place to tie down with.

Boy does this thing pull night and day better with 4.10s and a throttle body blade with no EGR diffuser. Tons more torque with less throttle opening so it's not hunting for gears up here at 6000'. Probably a beast at sea level. Those 7200# springs out back transformed the truck too, I can't dream of going back now. Not pictured is the toolbox at the front of the trailer and the chocks that keep me from hitting it. WD feels great with no sway out on the windy interstate at 80mph.

Just of curiosity if your towing at 80mph, what are your trailer tires rated for? If their just standard trailer tires their probably rated for 65mph max.

Run LT truck tires. They have the same load range but a higher speed rating.

Depends on the size. My gooseneck takes 235/80/16 trailer tires which are good for a few hundred lbs more per tire then the 235/85/16 LT truck tires. However the truck tires are higher quality, not rated to only 65mph, and easier to find which to me out weights the load rating of the tire being slightly lower then the trailer tire equivalent.

Do you have anything pulling that truck forward on the trailer? Looks like all the straps are trying to pull it off the rear if it wasn't in park and would easily loosen since there is nothing making the straps work against themselves.

Yeah, there is a metal chain hooked around each A-arm in front. Then on the tow hooks infront was another metal chain running through the floor of trailer strapped straight down. It was going to be bumpy ride for just a little bit so that 91 wasn't going anywhere, believe me. haha

Just for the record, none of my Diesels "roll coal", or otherwise waste fuel...my chrome stacks are no different than those gawd-awful chrome door handles or chrome fuel door covers...or worse yet, those goofy-assed "camo" vent shades...they're just hillbilly bling. :bling:
