Hey guys,
I have a 2008 GMC Sierra, non Bose, with the OEM Factory CD Player. I wanted to retain the factory cd player instead of adding an aftermarket cd player because with the NBS trucks, it just looks tacky to me. So I have a Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.1 where I run my factory left and right speaker wires to the 3Sixty.1 that is a EQ digital sound processor. Once the factory speaker wires are hooked up, it turns the signal into RCA's to hook up to amplifiers. Now my problem is that my door chimes, turning signals, etc... are so dang loud.

So Im looking for a harness where either I can turn down the chimes or have a harness that has an external speaker that I can place behind my factory cd player to turn down the volume of these chimes. Does anyone know what harness I need to get? I have found several on sonicelectronics.com, but Im unsure of which one to get.

Here is the website of different harnesses. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewcat.php?category_id=95&f_701_2585=1&f_894_3431=1&page=1&items_per_page=50

Does anyone run their stereo the same way and get the proper harness to turn down the chimes? I already have the chimes set at Normal instead of loud through my options on my factory heads up display. I wish there was an option for "Low"

Thanks!

Ok, so I think I found the right one and for $20, it would be perfect.

PAC Audio SNI-50A Adjustable High Power Line Output Converter

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882461035

Features - 50 watts maximum input per channel

Linear 20 to 20,000Hz output based on input signal

Transformer isolated for optimal sound and performance

Maintains correct phasing

Works with most factory installed radios

Detachable wiring harness

Integrated wire tie mounts

Then I would either install a small speaker that would go behind the rear of the factory cd player or under the dash.
The other option would to use a Female to Male Coupler, like this one here, http://www.audioadapter.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?key=Adpt-2RcfRcmS&preadd=action.

I just dont know if adding this PAC Converter would take over the chimes, turning signals clickers, etc.... I want to remove the radio sending these signals to the speakers since all of my signals are amplified by over 600+ watts rms from my 4 channel amp.

It sounds like the problem is where you tied in to the factory speaker wires when you connected the LOC( line out converter) to the factory head unit. you probably tied into the front speaker wires, which is where the chimes and other sounds come through, so they are much loader than normal. i tied mine into the rear speakers. hope this helps.
