View Full Version : sway bars on obs 2wd

k guys got a 96 c2500 2wd LD. ill be addin a front and rear sway bar to em pretty soon but before i order them i just want to clear a few things up.

Front- Belltech Sport Truck 5400 1 3/8 in bar PN- BEL-5400 from summit.
Rear- Belltech Sport Truck 5500 bar 1 in bar PN- BEL-5500 from summit.

now unless im mistaken the 2wd obs IFS trucks pretty much used the same bar and its not gonna be that difficult to do this. my question is in the back. occording to summit... this rear bar is for 6-lug only as is mine and they have one for a 8- lug. now obviously this means they mount different. since my truck now does not have a sway bar how am i to mount the rear on?

bout 180 each. kits include links and bushings and whatnot...

I went through the same thing. I ended up ordering a Hellwig rear bar. You need to either find factory parts or find a kit that provides them. The Hellwig kit I bought had everything I needed for a truck without a rear bar.

nvm i think i found it on summit. part number HEL-7555. is that the one youre talkin about?

I have them On my Black truck HEL-7801 and HEL-7802 But Mine are for a lowered truck.

do you suppose if i can find a tahoe or burban with a rear sway i can use the mounts and then get whatever rear bar i want for an obs?
