lookin for a stainless steel whip shorter than 102 in. its just to damn tall for me. looked at local stores an they are all 102. anyone know a website that has shorter one like around 5 or 6ft? thanks

Antennas need to be a certain length to match up with the cb's standing wave frequency. If it's not it won't transmit or receive well, and it could damage the equipment in extreme cases. Not sure what the next shortest size of whip would be that would work, but if the whip is too tall I'd get a fiberglass antenna on a spring stud.

would this work instead? about the closeest thing i could find. are these worth the money? i have some fiberglass ones but i dont like them

you would still have to tune that with a swr meter but yeah that will work i have one on my big truck now
