obs factory door speaker replacement

Hi, Im looking to replace the factor speakers in the front doors of my 2dr tahoe. any sujestions? im looking at some pioneers currently. just want something that sounds good and fits in the factory location. the speaker size is 6 and 3/4 right? thanks for your help

It's a standard 6.5" speaker up front. That's the most common speaker size around, so you have tons of choices. I'd say find a local shop and just listen to the speakers. It all depends on how you think they sound.

I just installed some Orion Cobalts in my 2 door Tahoe and its a night and day difference between them. Sounds alot clearer and zero distortion. Love em. Before those I had the Pioneer 6.5 and they sounded great until I turned em up pretty loud, to much distortion. Hope this helps

My 98 truck has seperate mids and tweeter locations, yours doesn't? I run a kicker RS6 component set but doubt I would without an amp powering them.
