Videos posted! I just recently bought a 2010 ccsb ltz with the 6.2. Well a buddy from work ordered a 2012 king ranch with the ecoboost in it. And everyone talked it up about the torcher test and all. It seems that i am one of few chevy guys at work, so it was great leaving him lookin at the tail lights! Lol ill post the videos when i get to the house. Went from a dead stop and a 40 punch.

Not very quick at all, I mean its ok if you want a 3.5 V6, but my Intake/Magnaflow muffler swapped Crew Cab Titan mops the floor with them too.

That is funny. Fords have always been slow as dog **** and obviously nothing has changed.

The idea behind it is sound but they should have turbo'd the 5 liter instead. GM should be doing the same thing with the 4.8 liter if they want to get their fuel economy up and still have plenty of power.

Silly ecoboost.

To be honest, it is almost double the displacement.

Sure, but the replacement for displacement is boost. The ecoboost supposedly has some serious potential once the aftermarket gets to tuning it. I would buy one.... the ecoboost could at least race past a fueling station.

The eco boost honestly doesn't do that bad for what it is. Boost is not a replacement for displacement but it sure helps. For a 3.5 V6 to even come close to a 6.2 V8 is very impressive. Thing is though, your not talking apples to apples. The 6.2 is the top line of what chevy offers, the 6.2 is top line of what Ford offers. Post of pic of that race and I'd accept that. Put the 3.5 against the 5.3 and it's not even a competition and that's comparing apples to apples. Ford's got something with this eco boost, alot of guys are just pissed that chevy didn't do the direct-inject first. It's the start of a new era as far as I'm concerned. It's finally getting gas engines to be comparable to diesel for torque and economy. (at the same time)

Should post the video's over on performancetrucks.net

Ecoboost is a major fire hazard waiting to happen. I am not sure why there hasn't been a recall yet.

Major fire hazard? Why? Do Turbochargers cause fires?! :scared:

I have read and seen multiple reports for fires on the eco-boost trucks. Nothing directly related to the turbo's I don't think.

Just something you don't hear much about. Much like the Colorado/Canyon trucks. They liked to go up in flames. Or the dome light fires of the F150s in the late 90's.

I think Ford is just synonymous with fire. The dome lights, something on the brake system, apparently the Ecoboost, the Pinto...

Cruise Control switches that were constantly powered in the late 90s/early 2000s.
