I thought I'd post a pic of my new FREE cold air intake. What had happened was, my uncle bought a CAI off of eBay for his '02 4.8 Sierra since the eBay ones look exactly like the Spectre one. I don't know the whole situation but he ended up not using the tube so he gave it to me. Then, my cousin had a drop in k&n filter off of his '00 5.3 Silverado from when he had the stock intake, so he gave me that. So I took the little scoop out of the stock air box, cut a hole in the bottom of the airbox, and siliconed the scoop into the hole pointing down, then painted over it black again, so its sucking air from the 2 stock holes in the fender and from the scoop coming out the bottom of the box, I don't have a pic of the little scoop underneath yet, but ill get one soon. I've noticed a dramatic increase in throttle response, and the intake is obviously a lot louder, since I don't have exhaust yet, u can hear it sucking air real loud when I pass someone or unlock the converter to get on the interstate every now and then. I don't really have a way to measure intake air temps but I know its a whole lot cooler.
