I've emailed two different places and inquired about them, but got no response from either place.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Just out of curiosity why do you need that particular type of lift? There are a million different companies out there building kits for the OBS IFS trucks now. And dont forget, if its this hard to find one, getting replacement parts or additional lift items to enhance the original kit is going to be even harder.

I've read a good bit about most of the other lift kits not being a true 6 inches.
But most everyone says the Cepek kit is a true 6.5 inches.
I don't want to buy a kit and have to crank my keys down to get it to 6 inches.
I'd like a kit that raises the truck as much as it claims.

Thanks so far for all the input.
Reading up on stuff around here has to be taken with a grain of salt it seems.
I've read "here" that some companies still carry the Cepek 6.5 lift I'm asking about.
ergo my post about contacting said companies and NOT getting any replies back from them.
And I also read alot around here that most of the "OTHER" brands of lift kits require the end
user to CRANK the bars to get the stated amount of lift from their installed unit.
Remember, I didn't say I said that, I said I read it here ALOT.
So either most all the other brands of lift kits being sold are fudging their numbers on
the amount of total lift they provide or about 75% of the members here can't read a tape measure.
Either way, I read all that here.
All I want is a kit that does what is says without a crank war starting over how much I had to crank
mine or how much my buddy had to crank his to get it to a certain height.
Is this too much to ask?
I sure don't want to pay my hard earned money for a 6 inch lift, only to find out it only lifts the truck 5 inches.
Sorry for the rant.

Now that I've read your post again.
That makes the most sense I've heard yet.
You make a very good point.
So it looks like I won't be trying to find a Cepek kit.
Thanks

Cepek sold the rights to the kit to extreme suspensions who, I heard, stopped making the kit as of a several months ago.

Good luck in the hunt

Sounds like you are looking for a full drop lift rather than a knuckle lift then.

There is so much talk on here about cranking this and that....Well when you really get down to it, the end result is your talking about litteraly at best, 1.5-2". Thats all your going to get cranking, uncranking, leveling, etc.....When you start basing everything around one - two inches of difference, you are wasting your time. And in reality, cranking more than one inch is not recommended by any means if you want any type of decent ride that will not do long term wear and tear on your truck. More importantly to look at in a kit rather than the difference of one inch which is almost not even noticable is driveline angles, knuckle vs no knuckle kits, front crossmember design, ability to do add ons, weather it will need cutting of your frame braketry or not (this is important if you ever removed the lift), and most importantly a reputable compant that has good customer service and available parts. Do it right the first time.

RCX is a 5.25" drop...I had read that here, and I literally just got done installing mine this past weekend...everything is a 5.25" drop. After dropping the T-bars back in and setting them on the adjuster brackets in the frame rail, I gave them about 8-8 1/4 turns to get to perfectly level (well within 0.2*). Remember, that is not 8 turns past stock, that is 8 turns past all the way down. I still have close to if not over half of the threads left on my adjuster bolts.

it would depend on what axle you went with and how big of tire...some axles hang pretty low....but you would be better off doing a solid axle swap just for the simple fact of you would lose the cv shafts and gain a hell of alot of strength

you will have more ground clearence with a TB Crank and a 3 inch body lift then you will with a drop bracket kit. SAS the only clearnece your gonna get is tires.
