caliper relocation brackets and drop spindles

i have a 99 silverado that i installed SSBC 14" rotor kit that utilizes the stock calipers that are moved with relocation brackets to accept the bigger rotors. i am looking to lower it 4/6 but have been told by different people that drop spindles will not work with caliper relocation brackets. Is this true? anyone had any experience with this first hand?
