So I have been creeping on this site for a while now and finally just picked up my new truck a few weeks ago. It is a 1999 C1500 (OBS, obviously) with the 350. I want to lift the vehicle in order to fit 33" Tires. It is my daily driver, but will see a mild degree of off-road. (Trails; minimal mud if I can help it) My questions are regarding the Rough Country 4" spindle lift. I saw a guy on the forums had used the lift on his 96 and was running 33x12.50x 15 tires, which is what I would like to do myself. I tried PMing him but he hasn't responded and it's been like a week.

1.) Will I be able to run 33s with that lift? What width tire would you recommend? (I am trying to not trim anything!)
2.) If I go with the 33s, what backspacing/offset would I need and what width wheel? (I know I want to stick to 15" wheels, but literally can't figure out how to determine what backspacing and offset I would need without putting them on and seeing if they rubbed... ha ha)

Thanks for all you guys help. I know you guys get tired of answering questions like this but I wasn't able to find a thread that answered the specific questions I have.

33x12.50R15 for fatties, or 33x10.50R15 for skinny tires. I dont think it was a 4" spindle caise that wouldnt fit in a 15" wheel and i dont think there is such a spindle available... Was prolly a 2" body lift and a t-bar crank for another 2" (spindles arent cheap). 33s should fit without trimming but it will be tight, maybe minor trimming only (shaving off the pinch welds or banging em flat with a hammer). The offset will ne stamped in the backside of your factory wheels of you wanted to match it to ypur originals.

You might want to consider a body lift of. 2 or 3" and cranking your bars up. It will cost about 200 for the body lift, and the bar adjustment is free. You can do blocks, or shackles in the back for less than 100. Personally i would do shackles as you wont need new Ubolts and hardware and shocl extentions. Its also going to ride like a tank of you crank the bars, just so you know.

I.got 33s under my s10 blazer with shackles, 3" body lift, and max tbar crank and i still had to murder the fenders but it looks real cool. There is tons of guys here with the combo you are asking about, snoop around in the OFFROAD forums and see what you can find. And please show us when you do it :) we like photos!

I don't have torsion bars... ha ha

I ended up ordering the rough country lift. After calling them and talking things over with Josh and Darrell, they told me that my biggest size will be a 32x11.50 on a 15" wheel. It is a spindle lift in the front for 4" and 2" Rear block. Now just gotta wait for this next paycheck to pick up my tires and I will be getting to work. thanks for your input SoSoFly. I will be sure to add lots of pics once I am done with it!
