im assuming you have a 350. but usually the tbi mod and getting a good tune.

Headers, high flow cats, TB mods, TB spacer maybe, tune for sure but they are a little harder to do on the TBI trucks.

There's alOt of TBI threads already, read through the sticky threads. But here's my advice:
-Jegs air tube or GM equivalent
-Hypertech Powercharger or home made equivalent
-pod spacer
-throttle body spacer
-ported throttle body
-long tube headers
-better y pipe or dual exhaust
-high flow cats, such as Thunderbolts
-high flow mufflers- such as turbo style or Spintech mufflers
-custom chip burned
-complete tune up, use quality parts and only AC Delco spark plugs
-change all fluids, synthetic is a good idea. I use Royal Purple
-dropping weight will help too
You can try playing with fuel pressure. And balanced injectors may help. I haven't gotten around to do that yet.
What is the axle gear ratio? Tire size? Engine?

put the truck on the dyno and see where it stands right now , make sure to have a/f readings and then do a couple mods at a time and see where your a/f is then and then get a tune based on your dyno results to get your a/f back.

Modifying your driving style is free-costs maybe 1-2% extra time in city driving usually not even that. Usually Pulse and gliding will get you 15-20% better fuel economy in city driving. Setting the cc at 62mph will get a 95 2wd 18 mpg 4x4 maybe 17mpg- staying under 70 mph is a good idea-they are really thirsty over 70 mph.
45- psi tires vs 32 psi is worth maybe .3mpg
Usually bolt ons don't help much-
Custom tune- I just don't know-GM engineers know how to tune for FE,so ...
Save your $$-modify your driving style

Why not ls header no good? And for the intake mod i mean like change the plastic piece to a straight through one and why use ac delco plugs instead of e3

LS exhaust manifolds are physically a different size and wont bolt up, wouldn't imagine they would flow any better either... e3 plugs are a gimmick. You can change the intake tube but it really wont help you out that much...

Get something like these and get them ether ceramic coated somewhere or strip them and use some high heat paint and paint them yourself as the paint they come with is crap and burns off on the first heat cycle. You could step up and find some stainless steel header as your up in canada and rust would be my first consern.

You would also need a shop to fab up a y pipe and the rest of the exhaust.

If you're really going to dig into the engine it is possible to make a pretty mean TBI small block but all the basic mods and bolt ons don't ammount to much.
what would you guys say for a 94 suburban with the 454?
what should be the first things I do when thinking about more performance?
air intake?
tbi spacer?
I also need a new fuel pump, so should I also get a fuel pressure regulator?
headers/exhaust system? 2,5" Y-pipe? which headers would you recommend?
thanks

FYI, e3 plugs suck, same as that crap about tornado fuel saver and that zmax crap.
A tune (ac delco plugs, fuel filter, plug wires,.air filter), GMPP intake, TBI mods, long tube headers, high flow cat, a decent straight muffler (flowmasters are chambered, also, not the best flowing mufflers, but sound nice). Run a can of SeaFoam through the gas and a can of SeaFoam through the intake.

Fpr right now ilk do y pipe and see foam after this summer tbi spacer and full exhaust along with high fliw cat so i can be legal. Wokd it be pissible to make a tbi spacer seeing how i am in a wwelding shop

So, blue wires give you 50hp? It doesn't matter what color they are, MSD has some great wires, same for accel.
The best and the cheapest/free way to get mpg/fuel economy is to have a light foot, keep a steady foot on the gas when comic.g from a stop. Check bad vacuum lines.
