1998 Silverado 1500 60/40 seat to replace a 1992 60/40?

I have a 1992 Silverado 1500 that came with the 60/40 bench. I am wondering if I can put a 1998 60/40 in my 1992. They are reverse as the 92 is a single driver seat and the 98 in a single passenger seat. I set it in and it does not look like it will bolt up and sit level but have been told it will fit? How?
