I have a 92 k2500 suburban with a 454 tbi, i have a large crack in my passenger side exhaust manifold. Im trying to do whatever i can to somewhat help mpg as much as i can and thought i may replace the exhaust manifolds with headers if it would help. Is it even worth the money for headers? or do the stock exhaust manifolds flow pretty well? Also do you guys have any that you recommend for a suburban with a 454?

Longtubes are worth it, but to take full advantage and get better mileage you will need some chip work. Shorties are for looks in my experience.

u may want to look more into coated headers so they dont rust as fast as painted headers, more expensive but i think in the long run better off. i'am looking at hedman headers coated for my 91 V2500 4WD but there in the more $$$ range plus i need them 50 state smog legal for calif. BS !!!
