Most add-on bedrails are just held on with automotive grade double sided tape.

so would i just need to pull them up?

The bed rails that were on my truck were in held on with rivets along the top and inside.
I guess its possible they are held on with some double sided tape or adhesive too though.

If they are held on by rivets how do i get it off?

Rivets equals drilling the heads off the rivets. You would see the rivets though if they were used.

You just drill the rivet out. Won't take but a few minutes.
The only bad part is there are holes in the bed rail but nothing you can do about that now. They aren't too big though. Doesn't bother me at all, it is a truck.

Dont see any rivets, small black plastic goes around where it meets the bed
If i need to post i picture i guess i can

Yea I'd say start to pull up on one side see what you find.
Heat might help pull them up easier too.
