So i have a 93 350 TBI and my next project is gunna be to redo the exhaust. Im no genius when it comes to exhaust terms, so bear with me......
I have been wonderin about the following exhaust setups
1. 2.5in single pipe, no cat, a glasspack, y pipe then to duals 90's or 45's
2. true duals, no cats, 2 glasspacks, to 90's or 45's
3. true duals, cats, and no mufflers to 90's or 45's
Can someone help me out and post a few videos........also how much difference is there between 90 tips and 45? 90's cackle more? people told me 45's give it a weird sound, i like the look of 45's if they arent stickin out past the bumper.....i like the glasspack sound so all the flowmaster lovers im sorry dont really care for them much. As a side note i just want sound not lookin to gain huge amounts of power or anything....no racetruck haha
help would be much appreciated

3" single pipe setup with the longest glasspack you can get, true duals is a waste of money on your truck IMO

I'm agreeing with this EXCEPT for the longest glasspack part. I had 12" glasspacks on my 98 Z and it wasn't too overly loud, but would set off car alarms in parking lots. Long glasspacks are for school buss's. Just cut off the stock muffler and have a shop weld one or two on. I still hate glasspacks to this day.

STR8 PYPES YO!
No seriously tho, spend some money on a nice set of mufflers. Nothing sounds worse than a 350 straight piped. (or any non diesel v8.)

IF he wants glasspacks then let him, there is nothing wrong with them if that is the sounds he wants, help him with what he is asking, he seems to be smarter and more comprehensive then most idiots on here.
a 2.5" or 3" setup with no cat and a 18-20" glasspack y'ed to 45's would be my choice, I would do 2.5" pipe after the y into the tips.

I like the looks of 45s over 90s. Straight out the back is the most popular look around here so I can speak to the sound. Personally, I would run turn downs at the rear bumper tucked up out of sight. Nothing beats the look of a clean rear end.

45 or 90's is going to sound the exact same, their is no reason it would sound any different, and if you go 2.5" pipe then you can prob only fine 3.5" tips

alright guys im thinkin im gunna run a single 2.5in pipe to a 18in glasspack, y pipe, then 2.5in pipe to 3 1/2in tips at 45's.....that gunna sound worth a crap? also should i put the y pipe immediately after the glasspack or have some pipe in between the glasspack and y pipe? thanks

Not a problem, and I would would put the y like a foot or 8 inches after the muffler, you wont be able to mat them directly to each other.
