i want to go back to havin a edc for my truck. due to hood clearance with big block i had to somewhat ditch the york. i know this is the expensive way but right now i am not worried about that. i just wanna know is there any reason i can't use this kit for airride? i tried march performance themselves and pretty much got the, " i dunno," answer from them. the compressor is a sanden 7176 i believe. here's the kit #. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MCH-20360/

You could but, you will need to either disassemble the compressor and fill it with grease, or put an oiler on the intake side. You will need a good separator after to collect the oil back out. You could also mount the York on its side to save height? Might not clear the big block though.

nope that's the way i have (had) the york mounted. with a 3.5" trad bodydrop it stuck about 3" or so above the fender and about 6" over to pass side too far even with a cowl hood. i used the gm serp kit and kwikperformance adapter kit.

You can buy a lot of electric compressors for $2000! Why not just go to 2 or 3 electric compressors and you should have as much if not more air?

The noise I can understand, the slow is solved by spending much less then $2000 on a few pumps.

that's exactly what it is! loud and annoying! the edc was so much faster but i guess i can always put 4viair 480 compressors or so in. i dunno.
