My buddy put a set of Infinity Reference speakers (not sure of exact model) into his Dodge Ram ex-cab, a few months ago. After all his talk about how amazing his system was going to be, everyone was greatly disappointed in the results. I don't know if he's just not pushing enough power to them, or if he's got it tuned or anything yet, but his system left a poor image of those speakers in my mind.

In comparison, I have some Pioneer 4 way speakers in my doors, and Pioneer 2 way speakers in my pillars, being run off of my alpine head unit, and the clarity and depth of sound they put out, puts that Dodge's to shame.

All that being said, listen to every speaker you can, and pick the ones you like the best. That's the only way you're going to be happy with the results. And that's what matters the most..

I put these Alpine 4x6's in mine http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS406/Alpine-SPS-406.html?tp=105 with a pioneer head unit (only pushing 15 watts) & I have to say the mid to highs are amazing, can't say much about their capability on lows because I installed bass blockers on them (putting a set of 6x9's & a sub behind the seat to handle the bass). Be warned tho, with those you will have to cut your trim pieces, the tweeter sticks up too far. Since my truck has old trim, I just used a hole saw to make the opening I needed, which didn't turn out too bad.
