I have a set of headers coming in Monday and I am having them powder coated and I can't decide on the color. I have a choice of black or silver so what color should I go with. Thanks

doesn't matter, it will burn off.

Yep burn right off. Best cheap way is ceramic header paint. I think its VHT that makes a good one.

If its ceramic powder it will work. If regular powder is used it will not work. Ceramic powder is very expensive compared to the run of the mill powder.

It's ceramic powder that's why I only have two color choices. Did alot of audio and networking work for a guy that owns a rim repair shop and they powder coat so it is going to be done for next to nothing. He has a 55 Belair with a 572 and did his headers with the silver powder coat and they still look perfect. The coating is good for
2000 degrees so doubt it will burn off may show defects after 5 years but by that time the motor will be rebuilt or I won't have the truck anymore. I will prob just go with the silver. Thanks for the replys
