Anybody have Marathon tint on their trucks? The closest tint place to me only offers that. I always thought the standard was 3M, but I don't really know much about tint anyway. Is Marathon any good? bad? indifferent? If it is no good, which brand/brands should I be looking for? Also, I was quoted $120 to do my ECSB in 35% (have to keep it legal). Does this sound about right?
price isnt bad if your doing the whole truck..i dont know alot about marathon but i guess ask if the tint shop warranties purpling, scratches and etc but i have 3m and i would try to find a shop that uses that.

the price sounds about right, not sure about the Marathon tint, everyone around me has been buying the black magic tint at good ol' walmart and do it themselves.....i also am looking at getting my windows re-tinted

The best thing I have found is the pre cut 3m on ebay. My local shop wanted $150 for the front driver and passenger side. I bought the pre cut tint off ebay for $35 and did it myself. Its not hard, just spend the time prepping your windows. And check out youtube for good tips.

I have Marathon on my truck. it's been on for a year. some small bubbling and no scratches. it does have a few nicks from my girlfriend throwing the seatbelt at the window when she takes it off. It's good for only $50 total to get done (cheapest shop I could find for just the two front windows) if the vehicle is nice enough or you have the few extra bucks I'd go with the best. it's worth it because in a while I'll have to pay to get it done again... or pay for more tint.
