I just found this posted on my local CL:
belltech 2" / 4" lowering kit, drop spindles for the front, shackles and hangers for the rear and nitro 2 drop shocks for all four. came off of a 2006 silverado, fits all silverados 99-06. asking ~$400

I sent a text to the guy, he said he had about 20,000 miles on the kit, and he was running 24's on it, (i didnt ask what he had trimmed.) and that he was going back to stock to trade the truck in.

Questions:
Is this a decent price?

Is the mileage something I should worry about?

I want to go down to some clean OEM SS 20's or possibly TBSS 20's in the future, what tire size would I be looking at? Would I be able to run 275/55/20?

Would this require anything more then rolling the fenders? I asked the people at Stylintrucks.com, and they said it would take bunch of cutting of my inner fender wells and trim of bumpers (not sure I trust their answers) :dunno:

(before anyone says anything, I am still swimming in the numerous sticky threads, including "My advice on lowering your truck static", "Years with Drops", and "Post your Setups"

Thanks in advance..

imo, stay away from belltech spindles. With having to flip the balljoint, it was cause your balljoints to ware prematurely. Or as I experienced they will just snap while your driving.

Can't comment on the Bell Tech brand, I went with McGaughys. The mileage isn't an issue, but I would try to get it cheaper. When I was ready to buy I called StylinTrucks. I bought the parts cheaper than I would have if I ordered online from them. ?? They also threw in free shipping. It came in about 5 boxes, so that saved some. I have an 07 Classic and the rear hangers are welded. I'm not sure when they switched from riveted to welded. I went with a 4/6, but would not have been able to swap the handers if I went 2/4. They have a lowered leaf as an option. I ran 275/45/20 on a 8.5" in wheel with a +35 offset with no problems. Wheel offset can play a part in whether you need to roll the fender, etc.

i would go with mcgaughys 2/4 or DJM 2/4....check out www.grunionfabrication.com (they are the cheapest i have found on any lowering parts ever and everything they have is mcgaughys)...and i would recommend 275/45/20, perfect for a 2/4 drop IMO
