I like it, are you going to keep it flat black?

I had thought about it, but I'm leaning towards a satin black now. My brother's friend does custom paint here in Houston, I'm going to have him do a nice old school pinstripe job as well. Just got to start saving my pennies.

In due time my friend. First things first, work on the motor, then paint, get the interior up to snuff. When all that's done and I can convince the wife, then I'll bag it... I've been looking and MAAAN, you can spend some dough on a drop!

Forgot to add... the brown truck fairy dropped off some goodies

Headers, carb, air cleaner and some stuff for the wife's GTO (putting headers on this weekend)
They sent the wrong size spacers 5x4.75 instead of 5x5 so I'm stuck in that dept. My header muffs show up tomorrow and soon I'll be waking up the hood.

My brother also dropped off some goodies from an old 383 project... march pullies, 100 amp alternator and a .480 lift comp cam with lifters... only used for 15 miles.

Small update.

Got the carb installed, the headers put on and the exhaust fabbed up. Couldn't use the header mufflers the way I intended as they literally drug the ground. So some creative welding and some 90's from pep boys and a visit to dads house (he has all the welders) and I got it all installed up and out of the way.

I like the headers man I had on old chevelle with the same set up an I'm probly doing this to my truck and getting rid of the single flowmaster, does it sound pretty good tho? It's hard to tell with the camera mic

It's really deep at idle and boy when you get into the 4 barrel... It does tame out during normal driving conditions. My only complaint with the headers was the collectors weren't long enough and put the mufflers at a awkward angle, so I had to fab up some "s" extensions out of some 90 degree pipes to clear the transmission crossmember.

That's cool, I'm really thinking about doing it now, I like the deep tone at idle
