Ash Tray Bulb

I cannot for the life of me find the bulb for the ash tray in my '95 K1500, I have looked and pulled so many pieces off to no avail.

So how do I get to it?

You gotta pry/pull the black tabs out around the edge of where the 12 volt sockets are and to the passenger side of where the ashtray is. The whole piece will pull out as one and you'll be able to replace the ashtray bulb. Just be careful when prying on the little black tabs. I use a small flat head screwdriver. When you pry on them it's going to feel like you're going to break them (and you may), but they should pop out.

So it is not above in that black part with slots on the left? But above the cig lighter spots?

It is in the black part but you have to pull that whole assembly out.
