im looking to drop my 97 ecsb and found this kit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MMC-33134/
But i have read alot about alignment issues and something about having to cut the balljoints ? my last OBS i installed the Western Chassis 4/6 drop with no issues what so ever... has anybody heard about the problems with Mc Gaughys? I have read also where people love them so some clarity of them would be great..

Mcgaughys makes the best quality suspension parts IMO, I believe if u get the spindles for 17+ wheels, and u have stock 17s, u have to cut the lower ball joint bolt

my truck came stock with 15" wheel. i do have a set of 17" moto metal but dont think they would look good on a lowered truck. So i thought about going with 18-20" rims. Anybody have a pic of what needs cutting just so i can wrap my head around it? maybe i should just go back to WC since there was no cutting there except the C notch.

I have their spindles on my Tahoe, the only thing that needs cutting is the rain gutters on the lower control arm and that is only if you are running 15" wheels. There is a thread about it on here somewhere.

Used their 4/6 kit on my '07 Classic with 20's with no problems. The riveted ball joints have to be drilled out (PITA) but everything else was easy.

Yea, that's what u need to do OP...I was thinkin more like nbs, for obs they just have one spindle and u can run 16+ without any trimming at all, no matter what brand spindles, u have to trim the LCA for 15s

Ok thanks, i had a feeling what i was reading was about the NBS. Last drop i ran 17's and had no problem and i should be golden with 20's :rocking:
I just want to get everything lined up before i buy without having to many problem cause i have to take vacation to pull the lift out and install the drop...
