Steering wheel question

My steering is old and has started to come unglued so the outer ring that you grab to steer can twist. So here is the question I got a grant gt wheel and I got the adapter kit and wheel puller the bolts that they have provided in the kit are not long enough and are not the right size bolt what size bolts do I need or what can use/do to get the old steering wheel off? Oh I have a 93 C1500 so no airbag thank god

Im just looking for someone to tell me how to get the steering wheel off of there whether that's by using the puller or not

When you pull the horn cap off there's two bolt holes I think there standard 5/16s bolts now if you put some 4 inch bolts or so in there and tighten them evenly it will push on the lock plate and pop it off!!! If u have the puller use it with the 5/16s bolts!!! It's kind of a greasy way to do it but trust me it works
