Sold my 2002 and saved all myaudio gear and now im ready to slam it back in the 2011 crew cab
FIQ,eD 9.1,ADS comps,diamond 5600.2.......some old school gear but I love it !

I need some info .......Radio.......do I really need OEM intergration? I dont care about chimes or the stupid GM/ONSTAR ,cant I just ditch it like I did on my 2002 ??


Id there out thee yet a How to on pulling apart my dash and door panels....
For the sub Ill make a custom enclosure and take up the jumper seat side on the pass side

Good question. I am in the same boat. I just bought 2010 and as you are well aware the stock system is garbage. I too took EVERYTHING out of my '98. Wires and all, I do need a new head unit since my old Alpine died several months ago. Been rocking the Dewalt till I got my new truck.:nopity:

I also thought about putting my Adire Audio sub in the jumper seat postition, since it sure as hell won't go under the seat without major mods.

I would like to keep as much factory stuff like Onstar, hands free bluetooth and what not though. Not sure how all that will be affected.

Sorry this probably doesn't help you much but I am hoping some people chime in with their thoughts. I am anxious to get my sutff going again. I am looking at a pile of audio gear right now wishing it was up and running badly.

Take a look at this for factory interfaces. I have it installed on my 2011 Tahoe, works like a charm!

Schosche makes a harness to adapt it, I belive its a DCGM09 or a DCGM12, there are needed as the radios also are tied into the VATS system, keyless entry ect.

In some cases i have just relocated the factory radio to the trunk or kick panel, all wires except the speakers need to be ran with it, although with this method you wont have a door chime.
