I have a 1981 Silverado with the 305. What are the towing specs per GM? I'm looking for maximum tow load (trailer weight + trailer cargo)

If your not looking for the 100% perfect fatory rating, the easy answer is.
Not sure about TX some states you have to register by weight.
If your tires aren't overloaded, the hitch, drawbar, ball, trailer are not overloaded and you have to power to move it all. Your legal.
You need to be smart though. Just because you can do it does not mean it's safe. Even 100% legal you can be ticketed for being unsafe. So just be smart about it and you'll be fine.
