HVAC bulbs

I'm needing to replace some bulbs in the HVAC unit on my 98 GMC. I can't seem to find any anywhere. Went to the local GM dealership and no luck there.

I have a 96 and found the bulbs at Autozone, I don't remember the #. The only thing was they were white, did'nt have the yellow piece on them. I just misted a little yellow paint on them works like a charm.

I believe it's a #74 and you reuse the base off the old bulb. But most auto parts stores should carry them.

Thanks, but I think you are refering to the a/c and rec. button bulbs. I need the illumination (spl) bulbs, those you can not reuse the socket, plus are smaller than all the other bulbs in the dash
Yes Autozone does carry the other ones.

Yes Autozone does carry the other ones.

The A/C and recirc buttons use the same bulbs as the 4 main illumination bulbs.

I couldn't tell you for sure what a pre-'96 would take, so yes. That is information gathered from putting LEDs in my '98 Suburban HVAC and my former '99 Yukon.
