I just swapped my non tilt column in my 90 with a tilt column out of a 94. While plugging all of the wires back in i noticed that i had an extra plug that plugged into the non tilt column but doesnt have a spot on the tilt column. Can anybody tell me what its for? I took some pics to help.
This is the plug.

Bump with more info. Figured it would help to post what it came out of...It was a 94 gmc 2500 with a 5.7 and a 4L80e. Im swapping it into a 90 with a 5.7 and a 700r4. Also after reading some...i think this is the neutral safety switch. This plug may Possibly have something to do with reverse lights?? Also can i just swap that switch out with the one from the 90 non tilt column?

I'm pretty sure you're right that is the NSS. I know that the blue and green wires going into the other plug are your reverse lights. I'm thinking you could just swap the brake switch for the newer one, but I really don't know for sure.

I think that is what im going to end up doing. But actually the one that had two plugs was the older one..? I'm starting to think it had something to do with the 4L80e being all electronically controlled where the 700r4 in my truck wasnt. Maybe GM had this switch do something on the older trucks that was no longer needed on the trucks that had the electronically controlled trannys. (4l80 4l60).
