I'm wanting to wire up some LED lighting in the cab of my 03. I've got some of the flexible LED strip from SuperBrightLEDs. I plan on doing some back lighting in the pockets of the center consol as well as inside of the consol and some other spots. Mainly my question is where should I get power from? Directly from the battery? If this is the case, is there anywhere I can buy some sort of distribution block for the small gauge wire I'll be using for these things so my battery terminal doesnt get cluttered with wires?

If someone who has done something similar (installed LED strips/lighting) in the cabs of their trucks, a little help would be awesome! I'm totally new to LEDs.. and wiring them.

I did mine using a relay. Signal (pin 85 or 86) tapped from the dome light circuit. I then ran power to the relay from the battery. I used small gauge speaker wire on my LEDs.

So yours operate with your dome lights then correct? How would this work if I want to be able to control mine via a switch, independently from anything else?

Then instead of hooking it up to the dome lights just use a switch.

Do you want them on anytime or just when the key is on?

I'm wanting to wire them to a switch so they could be on anytime.
