speakers cut out.. any thoughts?

i got a 05 silverado that the stock radio died in and i put a new head unit in it. every now and then the speakers cut out. i figured out if i open n slam the passenger door then they will come back on...any thoughts for a fix? this is getting kinda annoying.

Im putting my money on a short somewhere in the wire from the passenger speaker to the radio.

facrory amp could be dieing too, seen that, id just rewire the speekers straight to the deck!
