Has anyone replaced the lock actuator on a 99-06 Sierra?mine is attached to the door latch and has three connections and all I can seem to find is two.I was told the entire lach assembly has to be replaced?

In my research from trying to add these to my '02 you should only have two plugs going to the "switch".....one is for the dome light and the other is for the lock. I don't now if you have to replace the whole thing or not but you can find just the "switch" on eBay. But if you pull the whole latch out you should see three little gold torx screws, remove those and the "switch" come off the latch....

I took my latch out and it is definatly differant than replacement part and the one above,it has another two prong plug that on back a black rod that connects to the lock linkage and on the front a white housing with three plastic welds and a white rod that connects to the door handle linkage, the green and blue connection that plugs in has black and green wires and with a volt meter green is 12v - black is ground, cant figure out what its for.Someone has to sell this specific actuator(switch) I cant be the only 2000 GM truck with this setup?

Do you have any pics of it? The one above is out of an S-10 I got it to try it in my until I realized that it didn't include the dome light connection.

Also are there any numbers on the "switch" it's self? if there is try googleing them and see what comes up....

Havent had any luck posting pics here but I did find a brand new acdelco latch assembly with the right switch,as for the switch itself, I googled every number on it and got nothing. Also I figured out the extra plug is to shut off the RAP(retained accesorys power) 12v when the door is opened, guess its not realy needed but I dont see how knowone sells the correct part.

How were you able to find the complete latch assembly?

Just curious, because I'm kind of coming up empty with my search as well....

ok so I did some more digging based on your findings and I was wondering what the difference is between "Keyless entry" and "power door locks" is.....???

Because your right I can only find the the two plug version and not the three plug for the "Keyless Entry". I just want to add power locks to my truck so I don't have to use the key.....

Power locks are just controlled by the switches from inside, you still need to use key to lock/unlock from outside and keyless entry uses a remote to lock/unlock without key and if you have a factory alarm it also arm/disarms and has a panic button
