To make a long story short, my truck has been "out of commission" for the past 6 years :(

This weekend, my brother is hooking up my new 20gal fuel cell (purchased from BrokeDickRacing) had it powder-coated Electric Blue, pretty close to the same color as my nitrous bottle. Which will be mounted in the rear of the bed. Also ordered a new Walbro GSL392 fuel pump along with a Summit Street/Strip fuel filter and all the fuel line/fittings to plumb it.

Brian from TBIchips.com did a custom tune for me and also supplied the 18# spring to help feed it.

Mods that have been done....years ago:

vortec heads
GM vortec/tbi alum intake
Comp cams CCA-12-388-4 mild cam
MSD 6AL ignition
75-150hp Nitrous kit
21/2" exhaust from the manifolds back
2-1 Magnaflow muffler
Pete Jackson "noisy" gear drive (I know, I know....love the whine!)

I drove it after the heads/intake swap and it ran good until it started reading off the sensors and it just fell flat on it's face. Never knew that a custom tune was in need back then. We hacked up the frame, had a narrowed rear end under it but it kind of died and its been pretty much been sitting since then. My brother has been getting the frame back in order and putting the stock rear-end back in. This weekend, I'm hoping that I'll be able to hear it fired up again. BTW, I'm pretty much as far north as you can go in the US (Washington state), the truck is at my parents house near Chico, CA and my brother is about 21/2 hours from there.

Anyways, I'm hoping to chime in more as my truck gets nearer to the "driveable" mode :P

Does tbi use a specific nitrous kit or all kits fit on all vehicles?

this is a similar kit to mine: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NOS-05153NOS/

At the time I purchased mine, they had a 75-150hp kit. Just different jets for the different hp you want to add.

gear drives can really mess with knock sensors.

Yes it can, I was warned about this but never had a problem.
