GUys couple of days a ago i opened thread for droping from all the advise. I thought i would go with 4/5. 2 inch spindles and2 inch springs up front and cnotch rear with flip kit. o i go to s shop get some estimates. They are telling me that they have to remove the sway bar. Is this true. I cant drop my truck on my own, dont own welder, and dont want to mess up the frame. And by removing my sway bar, how will t effect my ride lowered.

they are retarded, you just need shorter end links. just drop it and find links that allow the bar to stay level with the ground.

You do not need shorter swaybar links to lower your suburban. My truck is lowered 4/6 and has stock length links front AND rear.
A welder is not needed to lower these trucks. Unless you want to weld the frame notch in. But the kit out of the box is 100% bolt in.

Agreed. If a shop is so f'ing dumb that they're telling you that the swaybar has to go, then you need to find somewhere else to take it.

This too. I have stock length endlinks on my Suburban as well as my bagged '91.

Are you talking about the burban in your photo. The only thing is i wouldnt know who to take it, to begin with. There is a lot of high performance shops here but they are rip offs, (experience from back when i was in the street scene in high school). So is this something i should attempt myself. If Im going to c-notch the frame, the only grinder i have is from autozone. I have mechani ncal exp but obviously not a lot. ok so i though this drop would cost me around $ 500 in parts obviuosly i was wrong. so than it looks like im going to spend a good amount of cash. What kits you recommend for the c notching the frame.

Yes, the truck in my signature.
The install is a fair amount of work. The rear frame not only has to be cut, but the front spring hangers get changed out too (they actually provide some "lift" ) and there are several holes to be drilled into the frame to bolt the notch in. Belltech, DJM, and Mcgauhys all make quality kits.
