I took the factory radio out of my 94' suburban and put in a Kenwood head unit. The install went as planned and used a harness adapter. Before I changed the radio all of the speakers worked great, now with the new radio the only speakers that work are the 2 dash speakers. I have checked and double checked all of my wiring and it is all correct. What could be wrong?

sounds like you have a factory amp in the system. Bose??

Take the blue/white wire from your kenwood and connect it to the blue / white on your harness.

I don't think Bose was available in 94, I could be wrong though.

The bose system was not available in the 94' models. There was a built in amp however so I will try this and see if it works.

On the kenwood wile its in standby mode press and hold src, cycle through the menu that appears and make shure amp is on.

try one of the leads on a test speaker and see if you get sound.

The factory amp is above the gas petal the GM02 wiring harness u bought should plug into that, you will have to extend the harness, the amp has to be bypassed because its the actual radio, the part in the dash is just a relay/display.

Also some kenwoods didnt come with an internal amp, and were ment for preout/amp use only, these decks have high preout voltage and generally are for compition use
