Hey everyone,

I am newb still with my fullsize and was wondering if you guys could recomend some options for a HO alternator. I am getting ready to add to my already taxed electrical system a sound system so i want to upgrade. here is a little backround on what Is already on the truck.I have a 95 c1500 ext with the 5.7 tbi ,I have upgraded the alternator wires to 4ga and i have a optima yellowtop. My truck is bagged and body dropped with 2 viair 480 compressors and electric fans. these two things already pull a good amount of amprage so i really want to upgrade before i install my ststem. amp wise i will be using 2 A/D/S amps that at full power draw about 85-90 amps. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

stinger is damn expensive on them, if it were me if find a local shop that rebuilds alternators, you should be able to get it boosted to your needs for cheaper.

do this

http://www.singeralternators.com/

got mine and its putting in work. plus he can get the powerder coated/ painted to how you want. i installed mine and am more then happy. HUGE gain in voltage. i got the 400A unit from Singer alts, and comparing it to my mechman unit, it walks all over it. it makes 230ish amps at idle where the mechman falls on its face and i sit on battery voltage.

check dc power engineering alternators.

i have 1 300 amp alt i paid $380 for ( on christmas sale ) and currently run 12000 watts rms and 6 deka 9a31 intimidator batteries. voltage stays solid 14.1 volts.
