whats a good factory replacement muffler for a 2003 2500hd 6.0? i wanna keep the factory pipe so ill need a dual in single ou.t i dont want super loud but more sound over stock

I'd say u prob want to look at an 18" magnaflow, very mellow but has a nice rumble at idle and when u step on it, other than that its pretty quiet

The longest magnaflow u can find is prob 30" or 36" and will be basically silent, noone will know u even have exhaust, my uncle has a 4.8 with an 18" magnaflow and its really mellow sounding, I'd reccomend it

The 22" Magnaflow is what most people recommend on another site for a quieter truck...but most of them are cammed lol

Yes this is exactly what you DON'T want for a FACTORY replacement. I have the FM 10's for my mud truck, closest thing you can come to straight headers. I have had some luck with the cheap thrush mufflers, single inlet dual outlet that go for around 30 bucks. Pretty good deep throaty sound that isn't too awefully overpowering. But then again, what do I know? I haven't even posted 50 times yet ;)

A 6.0 is a lot louder than a 4.8 with the same muffler.

right you are, i didnt consider that, so maybe a 20" or 22" then
