largest side saddle gas tank in a 73-87?

Whats the largest side saddle gas tank offered in a 73-87 pickup? I have a 16 gallon and want a bigger tank, i know they make a 20 gallon but that isnt much of an upgrade. I thought i remembered hearing about a 34 gallon tank but cant find one anywhere. I even thought about modifying a smallish medium duty truck side saddle to fit in place of my original. Has anyone tried adapting a bigger tank to fit in the stock location?

20 is the largest side saddle tank they made and it will only fit a longbox. You can do a rear mount tank from a Blazer or Suburban which would give you the larger capacity that you desire. This link shows how to do it.
